Premiere of “Doña Rosita la soltera o el lenguaje de las flores”

The well-known work of the Granada-born playwright and poet Federico Gª Lorca” will take to the stage with the students of the Bachillerato de “Artes Escénicas, Música y Danza” of the IES Carlos Bousoño of Majadahonda. The direction is in charge of the professor of the Department of Language and Literature Hitos Hurtado, winner of a MAX.

The music I proposed it with a simple orchestration, based on a piano that collects the Spanish roots without falling into folkloristic topics. It consists of several pieces:

A song with text by Lorca himself “Cuando se abre la mañana”, which is sung on three occasions in the play, each of them with the transformations that reflect that of the main character.

A polka, a pasodoble, and an incidental, descriptive piece, where the leitmotiv of Rosita is collected.

Here you can listen to a song “Cuando se abre la mañana”, sung by Beatriz Cabello.
